GCH harvester wins Golden Leaf Award
Dec 17, 2007
The new burley harvester from GCH has now drawn international acclaim.

The Kentucky-based company recently won a 2007 Golden Leaf Award for “Most Promising New Product Introduction” at the 2007 Golden Leaf Awards ceremony held at TABEXPO 2007 in Paris, France in November. The company’s new harvester was the product submitted for consideration.

The harvester not only cuts the burley stalk and notches it for hanging, but also places it on a curing rack, which is set off when full in the field. The machine is said to reduce labor costs by 85 percent and has drawn praise from growers and producers alike.

Jeff Androla of GCH accepted the award in Paris from the Golden Leaf Award sponsors, BMJ and Tobacco Reporter magazine.
