Ray Meeks joins GoldLeaf Seed as sales manager
GoldLeaf Seed Co., a marketer of flue-cured tobacco varieties, has hired Ray Meeks as international sales manager. A resident of Irving, Kentucky, USA, Meeks has 23 years of international sales and marketing experience.
“We are pleased to have Ray Meeks on board to help us grow our worldwide tobacco seed business,” says Marion Hawkins, president of GoldLeaf Seed. Over the past 10 years, GoldLeaf Seed has expanded its sales in the United States, and now the company sees additional opportunities in the international marketplace.
As one of the world’s leading suppliers of flue-cured tobacco seed, GoldLeaf offers many non-GMO certified varieties to meet the needs of international growers. Part of Meeks’ responsibilities will be to develop the company’s presence in the burley tobacco market. Starting this season, GoldLeaf became the exclusive international marketer for Workman Tobacco Seed’s burley varieties.
